The night before, I carefully packed my essentials like a camera to capture memories, binoculars for spotting wildlife and a notebook to record every detail of the experience. My excitement was hard to contain because this was not just any outing, it was the beginning of an African safari adventure.
At dawn, I set off for the park. the sun was slowly rising, casting a golden glow over the city’s skyline. My driver explained that mornings are the best time for wildlife viewing since most animals are active before the heat sets in. as we approached the main gate on Lang’ata road, the noise of the city gradually faded, replaced by the sounds of chirping birds and the rustle of leaves. It was clear, I was about to step into the wild. This was the true start of my African vacation safari.
FIRST IMPRESSION
The first thing that struck me about Nairobi National Park was its closeness to the city. Standing at the entrance, I could still see the tall buildings in the distance, yet a few steps inside revealed a completely different scene. Open grasslands stretched ahead, dotted with acacia trees swaying in the breeze. The smell of fresh morning air filled my lungs and I instantly felt transported to another world.

Among the parks greatest treasures is its rhino population. Both black and white rhinos are found here, but black rhinos are more common.
